A large crowd were entertained by an exciting game of hockey which saw Brentwood beaten by an extra time goal.
An early pitch inspection had highlighted the need for snow clearing equipment and willing volunteers to ensure the pitch was playable for the 12.30 start.
Brentwood took the lead and were two nil up before Didsbury Northern pulled themselved back into the match with only five minutes remaining.
Good support for both teams kept the players’ spirits high despite their fatigue setting in.
The travelling side took the lead in the first half of extra time and despite an heroic effort from all of the team, Brentwood were unable to capitalise on their chances.
