Welcome to the Brentwood Hockey Club
Based from our Clubhouse at the Old County Ground. Brentwood Hockey Club was founded in 1902 and has grown to be one of the largest, most active and most successful clubs in the East.
We run 7 mens teams and 5 ladies teams in the East and Essex leagues.
Our mens 1st team play in the East Men's League Division Two South. The other men's sides are spread through the leagues to East Division 8SE.
Our Ladies 1st team play in the East Women's League Division 2 South East with other sides spread through the leagues to Essex Division 4.
We also play Mixed hockey, have Men's and Ladies Indoor teams and enter sides in various Summer Leagues too. The Club also goes on tour to various Festivals and Tournaments.
As a very family oriented club, we encourage our young members to play in the Junior teams, ranging from U9 to U18.
We have a fantastic social scene and hold many events throughout the year, building our club spirit and enjoy reflecting on the successes we have each week on the pitch.
We jointly own the Old County Ground facilities with Brentwood Cricket Club and Brentwood Tennis Club and have recently refurbished and upgraded our clubhouse to incorporate a high level of Bar, Catering and changing facilities.
Brentwood Hockey Club became the first hockey club in the East of England to be accredited with a "Clubs 1st Award" by England Hockey, the National governing body for the sport.
Clubs 1st is the England hockey version of the sport England Clubmark award which recognises clubs that offer safe, effective child friendly environments. The club has demonstrated that they meet all the criteria of this national scheme.
Club SX is the Club Accreditation Scheme for Sports clubs in Essex. The scheme was set up by Essex County Council to ensure that quality sports clubs receive the recognition they deserve.
Brentwood Hockey Club are delighted to continue to be one of the eleven sports clubs accepted onto the Brentwood Borough Council Academy Scheme.
